Chocolate Wine— Your Drink of Choice?

Earlier this year we brought you meteorite wine, but what about chocolate wine? Red wine and chocolate — two flavours you might not have envision intertwined in a bottle.

ChocoVine hails from The Netherlands, the land known for clogs and windmills. Over the last few years the product has joined the ranks of popular new drinks, with over half a million cases being sold last year in the USA.

The product is described as “the rich taste of Dutch chocolate and fine French Cabernet” . The 14-percent alcohol wine comes in 4 different variations — ChocoVine Raspberry, ChocoVine Espresso, ChocoVine Whipped Cream, and ChocoVine Original.

Ellen from The Ellen Degeneres Show made us giggle with her segment ‘Party in a Bottle’ on the product, referencing ‘rubbing alcohol’ and ‘multi-tasking’,  as well as showing off her own concoctions of Guaca-tila (guacamole and tequila) and Beerzza (beer and pizza in one).
