Jamie Oliver and Alex James Present Their Big Feastival
Jamie Oliver is pretty excited over his upcoming Big Feastival; “When you get great food, great music and the kids are kept busy, beautiful things definitely happen.” We couldn’t agree more with Jamie — it sounds like pure bliss so we asked for the low down:
Coming up later this summer, Jamie’s Big Feastival will happen September 1-2 in Oxfordshire. Alex James, Blur’s bass player, turned master cheesemaker, is hosting this boutique food and music festival at his farm in Kingham, Oxfordshire. Set in the gorgeous Cotswolds, Alex’s place is 90 minutes from London and for those familiar with the Cotswolds, it is only 4 miles southwest of Chipping Norton.
Alex has invited some fantastic musical talent up to his place and he hasn’t disappointed. Confirmed to make performances on the weekend are Paloma Faith, Texas, Noisettes, Razorlight, Gaz Coombes, Guillemots, Producers and The Cuban Brothers. We are told that there will be music, cooking demos, kids activities, and top quality food. Notably children 11 and under go free.
