The Windmill Inn Beer Festival
Situated in the heart of bustling Linton, West Yorkshire sits the Windmill Inn, a charming family run pub packed full of old English character with roaring open fires, rustic wooden beams and authentic brass table tops.
Just five minutes from the market town of Wetherby, the Windmill Inn has been the cornerstone of the local community for over 450 years and is often frequented by famous faces from popular Yorkshire Television programs.
The annual Beer Festival is now in its third year and continues to grow in size and popularity, with the team expecting to top last years 500 visitors on the big day. The humble pub grounds play host to the festival on Saturday 21st July boasting over 25 guest beers and 6 flavoured ciders all sponsored by local businesses, along with the Pimms and Champagne marquee for those who prefer something lighter. It’s in there that you can find platters of delicious smoked salmon and juicy handpicked strawberries.
The Windmill Beer festival is a fantastic day out for the whole family; with a bouncy castle, face painter and professional Zumba teacher along with five different bands from the surrounding areas, so there really is something for everyone to enjoy and take part in.
The glorious scent of a summer BBQ will weave through the crowds as visitors munch on sizzling locally sourced produce whilst sampling the array of distinctive and some perhaps peculiar guest beers.
This year, the charity the Windmill Inn are collecting for is The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and would love to top the £2000 raised last year for Epilepsy Bereaved.
£5 a ticket for beer tasters on entry- includes a Windmill Beer Festival tasting glass and a program, which includes a beer identification sheet.
£2 a ticket on entry for non-beer drinkers.
