Remembering Julia Child by Music Video: Keep on Cooking (PBS Remix)
Today, August 15th 2012, would have been the 100th birthday for Julia Child. Though she passed in 2004, she left more than a mark on the culinary world.
To celebrate what would have been her 100th year, a new biography has been released ‘Dearie: The Remarkable Life of Julia Child‘ authored by Bob Spitz. Julia’s culinary know-how was famously made known via the television medium in the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s, with shows such as ‘The French Chef.’ This built upon her successful cookbook ‘Mastering the Art of French Cooking’, published in 1961.
And so the music video begins with Julia asking “What makes a great chef?”, to which she answers “Well…training and technique of course. Plus a great love of food, a generous personality, and the ability to invent hot chocolate truffles…’
