Bearded Beer – The Next Big Thing or Another Excuse To Pull Your Hair Out?

As many of you that have followed my Foodie News pieces over the last few months might have already realised, I have an unequivocal love for beer and all beer related items/apparatus/paraphernalia.

However, one recent invention that I happened to stumble upon last week has had me questioning this onetime unconditional love since I first laid eyes upon it.

The offending item takes the form of a handmade coozie which attaches to the side of your beer can and makes it looks as if it has a beard. Yes, that is what I said.

The invention, which quite incredibly scooped up first prize at the 2012 PBR Craft Show, is created using elastic and fur and enables its user to personalise their beer can while they drink.

So whether you’re in a motorbike gang, love heavy metal or just have a thing for facial hair full stop, this maybe right up your street. I, however, will pass.
